For the 2021 model year, the Toyota Sienna got a major upgrade. This model is now fully hybrid-powered on all trim levels. This new hybrid powertrain system consists of a gasoline engine, electric motors, and a traction battery that work to achieve a net power of 245 hp. The engine is a 2.5-liter DOHC 16-valve engine with D-4S Injection and Dual VVT-i. The permanent magnet synchronous motors can set up with two front-mounted, or with two front-mounted and one rear-mounted. Finally, we have the sealed nickel-metal hydride traction battery. This system is then paired with an Electronically controlled Continuously Variable Transmission. The Sienna can be equipped with front-wheel drive or an Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel-Drive System.
Whether you’re driving to work or going on a family vacation, the 2021 Toyota Sienna comes with several technology features that keep you entertained and informed. The available 9-inch multimedia touchscreen comes with Dynamic Navigation so that you always have turn-by-turn directions available for your destination. If you like having access to your phone’s music and apps, you can connect your phone to the system using Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™. However, if you don’t have an iPhone® or Android™, you can use the Amazon Alexa feature. When you go somewhere out of town, it’s always a plus to be connected so that you can search up places to go. The available Wi-Fi connection helps you to stay connected and the seven USBs can ensure that all of your devices stay charged while on the road.
